I am a scientist, an adventurer, and a communicator: best-selling author, photographer, and public speaker. I'm an elected Fellow of the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, and recipient of the RCGS's Sir Christopher Ondaatje Medal for Exploration.
I don't believe in limiting myself to one medium to convey my ideas. It's not that big a deal to master the technology; I use the medium that best suits my story.
I am author or co-author of four published books (and there are two more in the works right now!). My articles and photos have been published in quality magazines and newspapers around the world, and my radio documentaries have played on CBC Radio (Canada) and internationally. I have spoken at numerous venues across North America (from The Explorer's Club in New York to museums and outdoor clubs across North America) and I am a TEDx speaker.

Where is Jacqueline right now?
2021 started out slow for me (like for most people, as a result of COVID). But the second half of the year got pretty crazy - using my new bridgewatch/deckhanding skills to work on a small tourism ship up the BC coast in August, September and October, then heading to Banff for the Adventure Filmmakers Workshop in November.
December and January will be spent working for the world's oldest and most prestigious small cruise ship operator, Hurtigruten. First heading to their headquarters in Norway for training, then down to southern Patagonia, Antarctica and the Falkland Islands to work.
Grateful for where I live and for all the travel and adventures I have been able to undertake.
